About Me

Elijah Bent

I'm a software engineer and pipeline developer. I build production tooling for Maya, Unreal Engine, and Houdini in C++ and Python, alongside custom AI agent integrations and full-stack software across many languages and platforms. I don't just work in the pipeline. I build it.

Under Subsurface Dev, I ship commercial software for working artists. My flagship product, Solaura, is a hair grooming plugin for Maya with full Unreal Engine integration, and an Unreal Engine version is coming soon. The Maya version is currently in early access and commercially available through Subsurface Dev. My background spans CAD engineering, DCC plugins, real-time VFX, VST synthesizers, AI platforms, and full-stack web tools, all built from the ground up.
